February 5, 2020 (Islamabad): First-Ever UN Human Rights Report On Kashmir Calls For International Inquiry Into Multiple Violations.
ALIGHT team expressed solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the 5th February 2020 in nation’s capital Islamabad. ALIGHT team across the country demanded respect for the Basic Human Rights of Kashmiris as enshrined in The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. ALIGHT’s country representative Dr. Tariq H. Cheema stressed upon the international community and the governments of India and Pakistan to adhere to the recommendations provided in the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Report on the Situation of Human Rights in Kashmir 14 June 2018.
