ARC hosted their annual Iftaar dinner with the H-13 Afghan Community this year. Afghan refugees are a marginalized group in Pakistan, facing a plethora of problems from sustainable income sources, access to health and hygiene, and barriers to education. ARC supports the ‘Star School’, located in the H-13 colony and this year, ARC decided to forego a traditional team Iftaar in order to celebrate the breaking of the fast with the Star School community. Almost 200 community members were present for the Saturday Iftaar alongside dedicated ARC staff and team members who supported the Iftaar preparations and spent time with the community in solidarity embodying the welcoming spirit of the Holy month of Ramadan.
