300,000 Out of School Children (OOSC ) will be enrolled in Schools 12 districts of Balochistan in three year under the partnership agreement between School Education Department, Balochistan and American Refugee Committee. The province has the highest population of Out of School Children (OOSC) in Pakistan The agreement is to develop and expand a framework of mutual cooperation for education in Balochistan and was signed by Mr. Noor ul Haq Baloch, Secretary SED, Balochistan and Dr. Tariq Habib Cheema, Country Representative, ARC. Under this partnership ARC and SED will work together to bring improvement in school infrastructure, strengthen the education department and school governance system by working with Parent Teacher School Management Committees (PTSMCs). Speaking at the ceremony Mr. Noor ul Haq Baloch shared that “this partnership between ARC and SED will be instrumental in addressing the education issues in Balochistan”.   Dr. Tariq Habib Cheema, Country Representative for ARC stressed that “ sustained cooperation among the stakeholders is the key for smooth implementation of the program and to achieve its desired results”.  Secretary Education Mr. Baloch has also notified a provincial steering committee that will oversee the progress of work and provide technical assistance to the project team in Balochistan.
